What's the deposit to book a show with Custom Sounds Entertainment (CSE)?
Your deposit will be 20% of your total event fee.
When do we get to meet with our DJ before our event?
Carlos, the owner of CSE will be your main contact person. He will meet with you as early as possible to start planning your event. Over the next few months or weeks, depending on how much time there is before the event, we will start to plan the event with you and get all the details down.
How far do you travel?
We mainly travel within the Clear Lake and Mason City area. Anything outside of this area will be an additional $0.25 charge per mile.
What sets you apart from other DJ services?
We strive for perfection and try to make each event as fun as possible. We don’t just use a by the book approach like other services do. We know that each person is different and that each event has special needs. We are also one of the only entertainment services that will start planning your event almost as soon as you book your date. In order to create a successful event it has to be planned right. You only get one change to get it right and with CSE it will be a night to remember.
Your company has so many services and I don't know what I can afford yet. Do I have to decide on everything the day I book?
No. We actually encourage you to start off with our packages. Each package is designed to fit the needs of each event type. Once you know what your needs are then we can start looking at adding extras to your event. Of curse you can always let us create a special package just for your needs.
When I book my event with CSE, when does my package time start?
We will set up and take down free of charge. Once we have our equipment up and ready to go we will start some kind of background music. Your time starts at the time you have decided on.
Do you carry back up equipment if something fails?
We understand that sometimes equipment breaks down which can be very untimely and embarrassing. We carry a backup computer with us to every event with all the same music we have on our main system. If for some reason we can not continue your event, we will refund the amount for the remaining time of your event.
If I wish to give a tip to the DJ Talent, what is a typical amount?
This is never a must. But if you feel your DJ was good at interacting with your guests, encouraged involvement and played to your planning expectations then we would suggest a 10% gratuity of your DJ package.
